In addition to being responsible for the day to day operations of the accounting department, Ms. Sorensen is in charge of a large variety of company functions. Her responsibilities include all matters related to payroll, employee benefits programs, health insurance, disability insurance, 401-K pension plans, and all company and property insurance requirements. She also oversees all budgeting functions, financial reporting, cash management, tax filing and annual tenant reconciliations.  She procures and manages all company construction and permanent loans.

Ms. Sorensen has a Bachelors of Science in Accounting from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. She passed the California CPA exam in 1988.

She is an active member in her community and is affiliated with several philanthropic organizations. Ms. Sorensen currently serves on the Board of Directors of Reading is Fundamental of Southern California, and is a member of the Covina Sunrise Rotary Club. She is also a past president of the Los Angeles Chapter of the American Society of Women Accountants.
